So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 καὶ — καὶ and– βασιλεῖς — βασιλεῖς kings ἑπτά — ἑπτά seven εἰσιν: — εἰσιν: are οἱ — οἱ the– πέντε — πέντε five ἔπεσαν, — ἔπεσαν, fell ὁ — ὁ the– εἷς — εἷς one ἔστιν, — ἔστιν, is ὁ — ὁ the– ἄλλος — ἄλλος other οὔπω — οὔπω not-yet– ἦλθεν; — ἦλθεν; came καὶ — καὶ and– ὅταν — ὅταν when– ἔλθῃ, — ἔλθῃ, he-comes ὀλίγον — ὀλίγον a-little αὐτὸν — αὐτὸν him δεῖ — δεῖ it-is-necessary μεῖναι. — μεῖναι. to-remain
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 καὶ — καὶ and– τὸ — τὸ the– θηρίον — θηρίον beast ὃ — ὃ which ἦν, — ἦν, was καὶ — καὶ and– οὐκ — οὐκ not– ἔστιν, — ἔστιν, is καὶ — καὶ and– αὐτὸς — αὐτὸς he ὄγδοός — ὄγδοός an-eighth ἐστιν, — ἐστιν, is καὶ — καὶ and– ἐκ — ἐκ out-of– τῶν — τῶν the– ἑπτά — ἑπτά seven ἐστιν, — ἐστιν, is καὶ — καὶ and– εἰς — εἰς into– ἀπώλειαν — ἀπώλειαν destruction ὑπάγει. — ὑπάγει. goes
And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
12 καὶ — καὶ and– τὰ — τὰ the– δέκα — δέκα ten κέρατα — κέρατα horns ἃ — ἃ which εἶδες, — εἶδες, you-saw δέκα — δέκα ten βασιλεῖς — βασιλεῖς kings εἰσιν, — εἰσιν, are οἵτινες — οἵτινες who βασιλείαν — βασιλείαν a-kingdom οὔπω — οὔπω not-yet– ἔλαβον, — ἔλαβον, received ἀλλὰ — ἀλλὰ but– ἐξουσίαν — ἐξουσίαν authority ὡς — ὡς as βασιλεῖς, — βασιλεῖς, kings μίαν — μίαν one ὥραν — ὥραν hour λαμβάνουσιν, — λαμβάνουσιν, receive μετὰ — μετὰ with– τοῦ — τοῦ the– θηρίου. — θηρίου. beast
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13 οὗτοι — οὗτοι these μίαν — μίαν one γνώμην — γνώμην purpose ἔχουσιν, — ἔχουσιν, have καὶ — καὶ and– τὴν — τὴν the– δύναμιν — δύναμιν power καὶ — καὶ and– ἐξουσίαν — ἐξουσίαν authority αὐτῶν, — αὐτῶν, of-them τῷ — τῷ to-the– θηρίῳ — θηρίῳ beast διδόασιν. — διδόασιν. they-give
These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14 οὗτοι — οὗτοι these μετὰ — μετὰ with– τοῦ — τοῦ the– Ἀρνίου — Ἀρνίου Lamb πολεμήσουσιν, — πολεμήσουσιν, will-make-war καὶ — καὶ and– τὸ — τὸ the– Ἀρνίον — Ἀρνίον Lamb νικήσει — νικήσει will-overcome αὐτούς; — αὐτούς; them ὅτι — ὅτι because– Κύριος — Κύριος Lord κυρίων — κυρίων of-lords ἐστὶν — ἐστὶν he-is καὶ — καὶ and– Βασιλεὺς — Βασιλεὺς King βασιλέων; — βασιλέων; of-kings καὶ — καὶ and– οἱ — οἱ the– μετ’ — μετ’ with– αὐτοῦ, — αὐτοῦ, him κλητοὶ, — κλητοὶ, called καὶ — καὶ and– ἐκλεκτοὶ, — ἐκλεκτοὶ, chosen καὶ — καὶ and– πιστοί. — πιστοί. faithful
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
15 Καὶ — Καὶ and– λέγει — λέγει he-says μοι, — μοι, to-me Τὰ — Τὰ the– ὕδατα — ὕδατα waters ἃ — ἃ which εἶδες, — εἶδες, you-saw οὗ — οὗ where ἡ — ἡ the– πόρνη — πόρνη prostitute κάθηται, — κάθηται, sits λαοὶ — λαοὶ peoples καὶ — καὶ and– ὄχλοι — ὄχλοι multitudes εἰσὶν, — εἰσὶν, are καὶ — καὶ and– ἔθνη — ἔθνη nations καὶ — καὶ and– γλῶσσαι. — γλῶσσαι. tongues
And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16 καὶ — καὶ and– τὰ — τὰ the– δέκα — δέκα ten κέρατα — κέρατα horns ἃ — ἃ which εἶδες, — εἶδες, you-saw καὶ — καὶ and– τὸ — τὸ the– θηρίον, — θηρίον, beast οὗτοι — οὗτοι these μισήσουσιν — μισήσουσιν will-hate τὴν — τὴν the– πόρνην, — πόρνην, prostitute καὶ — καὶ and– ἠρημωμένην — ἠρημωμένην having-been-made-desolate ποιήσουσιν — ποιήσουσιν will-make αὐτὴν, — αὐτὴν, her καὶ — καὶ and– γυμνήν; — γυμνήν; naked καὶ — καὶ and– τὰς — τὰς the– σάρκας — σάρκας flesh αὐτῆς — αὐτῆς of-her φάγονται, — φάγονται, they-will-eat καὶ — καὶ and– αὐτὴν — αὐτὴν her κατακαύσουσιν — κατακαύσουσιν they-will-burn ἐν — ἐν with– πυρί; — πυρί; fire
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
