For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
2 οἶδα — οἶδα I-know γὰρ — γὰρ for– τὴν — τὴν the προθυμίαν — προθυμίαν readiness ὑμῶν, — ὑμῶν, of-you ἣν — ἣν which ὑπὲρ — ὑπὲρ concerning ὑμῶν — ὑμῶν you καυχῶμαι — καυχῶμαι I-boast Μακεδόσιν, — Μακεδόσιν, to-Makedonians ὅτι — ὅτι that Ἀχαΐα — Ἀχαΐα Achaia παρεσκεύασται — παρεσκεύασται has-been-prepared ἀπὸ — ἀπὸ from πέρυσι, — πέρυσι, last-year καὶ — καὶ and– τὸ — τὸ the ὑμῶν — ὑμῶν of-you ζῆλος — ζῆλος zeal ἠρέθισεν — ἠρέθισεν stirred-up τοὺς — τοὺς the πλείονας. — πλείονας. majority
For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.

Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:

Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
5 ἀναγκαῖον — ἀναγκαῖον necessary οὖν — οὖν therefore– ἡγησάμην, — ἡγησάμην, I-considered παρακαλέσαι — παρακαλέσαι to-urge τοὺς — τοὺς the ἀδελφοὺς, — ἀδελφοὺς, brothers ἵνα — ἵνα that προέλθωσιν — προέλθωσιν they-might-go-before εἰς — εἰς to ὑμᾶς, — ὑμᾶς, you καὶ — καὶ and– προκαταρτίσωσιν — προκαταρτίσωσιν prepare-beforehand τὴν — τὴν the προεπηγγελμένην — προεπηγγελμένην previously-promised εὐλογίαν — εὐλογίαν blessing ὑμῶν — ὑμῶν of-you ταύτην. — ταύτην. this ἑτοίμην — ἑτοίμην ready εἶναι — εἶναι to-be οὕτως — οὕτως thus ὡς — ὡς as εὐλογίαν, — εὐλογίαν, blessing καὶ — καὶ and– μὴ — μὴ not ὡς — ὡς as πλεονεξίαν. — πλεονεξίαν. greed
Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
6 Τοῦτο — Τοῦτο this δέ, — δέ, and– ὁ — ὁ the-one σπείρων — σπείρων sowing φειδομένως, — φειδομένως, sparingly φειδομένως — φειδομένως sparingly καὶ — καὶ also θερίσει; — θερίσει; will-reap καὶ — καὶ and– ὁ — ὁ the-one σπείρων — σπείρων sowing ἐπ’ — ἐπ’ upon εὐλογίαις, — εὐλογίαις, blessings ἐπ’ — ἐπ’ upon εὐλογίαις — εὐλογίαις blessings καὶ — καὶ also θερίσει -- — θερίσει -- will-reap
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 ἕκαστος — ἕκαστος each καθὼς — καθὼς as προῄρηται — προῄρηται he-has-purposed τῇ — τῇ in-the καρδίᾳ; — καρδίᾳ; heart μὴ — μὴ not ἐκ — ἐκ from λύπης, — λύπης, grief ἢ — ἢ or ἐξ — ἐξ from ἀνάγκης; — ἀνάγκης; necessity ἱλαρὸν — ἱλαρὸν cheerful γὰρ — γὰρ for– δότην, — δότην, giver ἀγαπᾷ — ἀγαπᾷ loves ὁ — ὁ the Θεός. — Θεός. God
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 δυνατεῖ — δυνατεῖ is-able δὲ — δὲ and– ὁ — ὁ the Θεὸς, — Θεὸς, God πᾶσαν — πᾶσαν all χάριν — χάριν grace περισσεῦσαι — περισσεῦσαι to-cause-to-abound εἰς — εἰς to ὑμᾶς, — ὑμᾶς, you ἵνα — ἵνα that ἐν — ἐν in παντὶ, — παντὶ, everything πάντοτε, — πάντοτε, always πᾶσαν — πᾶσαν all αὐτάρκειαν — αὐτάρκειαν sufficiency ἔχοντες, — ἔχοντες, having περισσεύητε — περισσεύητε you-may-abound εἰς — εἰς to πᾶν — πᾶν every ἔργον — ἔργον work ἀγαθόν. — ἀγαθόν. good
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 καθὼς — καθὼς as γέγραπται, — γέγραπται, it-has-been-written Ἐσκόρπισεν, — Ἐσκόρπισεν, he-scattered ἔδωκεν — ἔδωκεν he-gave τοῖς — τοῖς to-the πένησιν, — πένησιν, poor ἡ — ἡ the δικαιοσύνη — δικαιοσύνη righteousness αὐτοῦ — αὐτοῦ of-him μένει — μένει remains εἰς — εἰς to τὸν — τὸν the αἰῶνα. — αἰῶνα. age
(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 ὁ — ὁ the-one δὲ — δὲ and– ἐπιχορηγῶν — ἐπιχορηγῶν supplying σπόρον — σπόρον seed τῷ — τῷ to-the σπείροντι, — σπείροντι, sower καὶ — καὶ and– ἄρτον — ἄρτον bread εἰς — εἰς for βρῶσιν, — βρῶσιν, food χορηγήσει — χορηγήσει will-supply καὶ — καὶ and– πληθυνεῖ — πληθυνεῖ will-multiply τὸν — τὸν the σπόρον — σπόρον seed ὑμῶν, — ὑμῶν, of-you καὶ — καὶ and– αὐξήσει — αὐξήσει will-increase τὰ — τὰ the γενήματα — γενήματα fruits τῆς — τῆς – δικαιοσύνης — δικαιοσύνης of-righteousness ὑμῶν -- — ὑμῶν -- of-you
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 ἐν — ἐν in παντὶ — παντὶ everything πλουτιζόμενοι — πλουτιζόμενοι being-enriched εἰς — εἰς to πᾶσαν — πᾶσαν all ἁπλότητα, — ἁπλότητα, generosity ἥτις — ἥτις which κατεργάζεται, — κατεργάζεται, produces δι’ — δι’ through ἡμῶν, — ἡμῶν, us εὐχαριστίαν — εὐχαριστίαν thanksgiving τῷ — τῷ to-the Θεῷ. — Θεῷ. God
Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
12 ὅτι — ὅτι because ἡ — ἡ the διακονία — διακονία service τῆς — τῆς – λειτουργίας — λειτουργίας of-ministry ταύτης, — ταύτης, this οὐ — οὐ not μόνον — μόνον only ἐστὶν — ἐστὶν is προσαναπληροῦσα — προσαναπληροῦσα supplying τὰ — τὰ the ὑστερήματα — ὑστερήματα needs τῶν — τῶν of-the ἁγίων, — ἁγίων, saints ἀλλὰ — ἀλλὰ but– καὶ — καὶ also περισσεύουσα — περισσεύουσα overflowing διὰ — διὰ through πολλῶν — πολλῶν many εὐχαριστιῶν — εὐχαριστιῶν thanksgivings τῷ — τῷ to-the Θεῷ; — Θεῷ; God
For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 διὰ — διὰ through τῆς — τῆς the δοκιμῆς — δοκιμῆς proof τῆς — τῆς – διακονίας — διακονίας of-service ταύτης, — ταύτης, this δοξάζοντες — δοξάζοντες glorifying τὸν — τὸν the Θεὸν — Θεὸν God ἐπὶ — ἐπὶ upon τῇ — τῇ the ὑποταγῇ — ὑποταγῇ submission τῆς — τῆς – ὁμολογίας — ὁμολογίας of-confession ὑμῶν — ὑμῶν of-you εἰς — εἰς to τὸ — τὸ the εὐαγγέλιον — εὐαγγέλιον good-news τοῦ — τοῦ of-the Χριστοῦ, — Χριστοῦ, Christos καὶ — καὶ and– ἁπλότητι — ἁπλότητι generosity τῆς — τῆς – κοινωνίας — κοινωνίας of-fellowship εἰς — εἰς to αὐτοὺς — αὐτοὺς them καὶ — καὶ and– εἰς — εἰς to πάντας; — πάντας; all
Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14 καὶ — καὶ and– αὐτῶν — αὐτῶν of-them δεήσει — δεήσει by-prayer ὑπὲρ — ὑπὲρ for ὑμῶν, — ὑμῶν, you ἐπιποθούντων — ἐπιποθούντων longing-for ὑμᾶς, — ὑμᾶς, you διὰ — διὰ because-of τὴν — τὴν the ὑπερβάλλουσαν — ὑπερβάλλουσαν surpassing χάριν — χάριν grace τοῦ — τοῦ of-the Θεοῦ — Θεοῦ God ἐφ’ — ἐφ’ upon ὑμῖν. — ὑμῖν. you
And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
15 Χάρις — Χάρις thanks τῷ — τῷ to-the Θεῷ — Θεῷ God ἐπὶ — ἐπὶ for τῇ — τῇ the ἀνεκδιηγήτῳ — ἀνεκδιηγήτῳ indescribable αὐτοῦ — αὐτοῦ of-him δωρεᾷ! — δωρεᾷ! gift
Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
