For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 וְזָרְחָ֨ה — וְזָרְחָ֨ה and–will–rise לָכֶ֜ם — לָכֶ֜ם for–you יִרְאֵ֤י — יִרְאֵ֤י fearers–of שְׁמִי֙ — שְׁמִי֙ My–name שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ — שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ sun–of צְדָקָ֔ה — צְדָקָ֔ה righteousness וּמַרְפֵּ֖א — וּמַרְפֵּ֖א and–healing בִּכְנָפֶ֑יהָ — בִּכְנָפֶ֑יהָ in–its–wings וִֽיצָאתֶ֥ם — וִֽיצָאתֶ֥ם and–you–will–go–out וּפִשְׁתֶּ֖ם — וּפִשְׁתֶּ֖ם and–leap כְּעֶגְלֵ֥י — כְּעֶגְלֵ֥י like–calves–of מַרְבֵּֽק׃ — מַרְבֵּֽק׃ stall
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 וְעַסּוֹתֶ֣ם — וְעַסּוֹתֶ֣ם and–you–will–tread–down רְשָׁעִ֔ים — רְשָׁעִ֔ים wicked כִּֽי־ — כִּֽי־ for– יִהְי֣וּ — יִהְי֣וּ they–will–be אֵ֔פֶר — אֵ֔פֶר ashes תַּ֖חַת — תַּ֖חַת under כַּפּ֣וֹת — כַּפּ֣וֹת soles–of רַגְלֵיכֶ֑ם — רַגְלֵיכֶ֑ם your–feet בַּיּוֹם֙ — בַּיּוֹם֙ on–the–day אֲשֶׁ֣ר — אֲשֶׁ֣ר that אֲנִ֣י — אֲנִ֣י I עֹשֶׂ֔ה — עֹשֶׂ֔ה making אָמַ֖ר — אָמַ֖ר says יְהוָ֥ה — יְהוָ֥ה YHWH צְבָאֽוֹת׃ — צְבָאֽוֹת׃ of–hosts פ — פ —
And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 זִכְר֕וּ — זִכְר֕וּ Remember תּוֹרַ֖ת — תּוֹרַ֖ת law–of מֹשֶׁ֣ה — מֹשֶׁ֣ה Moses עַבְדִּ֑י — עַבְדִּ֑י My–servant אֲשֶׁר֩ — אֲשֶׁר֩ which צִוִּ֨יתִי — צִוִּ֨יתִי I–commanded אוֹת֤וֹ — אוֹת֤וֹ him בְחֹרֵב֙ — בְחֹרֵב֙ in–Horeb עַל־ — עַל־ for– כָּל־ — כָּל־ all– יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל — יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel חֻקִּ֖ים — חֻקִּ֖ים statutes וּמִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃ — וּמִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃ and–judgments
Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 הִנֵּ֤ה — הִנֵּ֤ה Behold אָֽנֹכִי֙ — אָֽנֹכִי֙ I שֹׁלֵ֣חַ — שֹׁלֵ֣חַ sending לָכֶ֔ם — לָכֶ֔ם to–you אֵ֖ת — אֵ֖ת – אֵלִיָּ֣ה — אֵלִיָּ֣ה Elijah הַנָּבִ֑יא — הַנָּבִ֑יא the–prophet לִפְנֵ֗י — לִפְנֵ֗י before בּ֚וֹא — בּ֚וֹא coming–of י֣וֹם — י֣וֹם day–of יְהוָ֔ה — יְהוָ֔ה YHWH הַגָּד֖וֹל — הַגָּד֖וֹל the–great וְהַנּוֹרָֽא׃ — וְהַנּוֹרָֽא׃ and–the–fearful
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
6 וְהֵשִׁ֤יב — וְהֵשִׁ֤יב and–he–will–turn לֵב־ — לֵב־ heart–of– אָבוֹת֙ — אָבוֹת֙ fathers עַל־ — עַל־ unto– בָּנִ֔ים — בָּנִ֔ים children וְלֵ֥ב — וְלֵ֥ב and–heart–of בָּנִ֖ים — בָּנִ֖ים children עַל־ — עַל־ unto– אֲבוֹתָ֑ם — אֲבוֹתָ֑ם their–fathers פֶּן־ — פֶּן־ lest– אָב֕וֹא — אָב֕וֹא I–come וְהִכֵּיתִ֥י — וְהִכֵּיתִ֥י and–strike אֶת־ — אֶת־ – הָאָ֖רֶץ — הָאָ֖רֶץ the–earth חֵֽרֶם׃ — חֵֽרֶם׃ with–ban
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
