Then said the Lord unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
2 וָאֶכְּרֶ֣הָ — וָאֶכְּרֶ֣הָ and–I–bought–her לִּ֔י — לִּ֔י for–myself בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֥ה — בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֥ה for–fifteen עָשָׂ֖ר — עָשָׂ֖ר ten כָּ֑סֶף — כָּ֑סֶף silver וְחֹ֥מֶר — וְחֹ֥מֶר and–homer–of שְׂעֹרִ֖ים — שְׂעֹרִ֖ים barley וְלֵ֥תֶךְ — וְלֵ֥תֶךְ and–lethech–of שְׂעֹרִֽים׃ — שְׂעֹרִֽים׃ barley
So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
3 וָאֹמַ֣ר — וָאֹמַ֣ר and–I–said אֵלֶ֗יהָ — אֵלֶ֗יהָ unto–her יָמִ֤ים — יָמִ֤ים days רַבִּים֙ — רַבִּים֙ many תֵּ֣שְׁבִי — תֵּ֣שְׁבִי you–will–dwell לִ֔י — לִ֔י for–me לֹ֣א — לֹ֣א not תִזְנִ֔י — תִזְנִ֔י you–will–play–prostitute וְלֹ֥א — וְלֹ֥א and–not תִֽהְיִ֖י — תִֽהְיִ֖י you–will–be לְאִ֑ישׁ — לְאִ֑ישׁ to–man וְגַם־ — וְגַם־ and–also– אֲנִ֖י — אֲנִ֖י I אֵלָֽיִךְ׃ — אֵלָֽיִךְ׃ unto–you
And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
4 כִּ֣י ׀ — כִּ֣י ׀ for יָמִ֣ים — יָמִ֣ים days רַבִּ֗ים — רַבִּ֗ים many יֵֽשְׁבוּ֙ — יֵֽשְׁבוּ֙ will–dwell בְּנֵ֣י — בְּנֵ֣י children–of יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל — יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel אֵ֥ין — אֵ֥ין without מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ — מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ king וְאֵ֣ין — וְאֵ֣ין and–without שָׂ֔ר — שָׂ֔ר prince וְאֵ֥ין — וְאֵ֥ין and–without זֶ֖בַח — זֶ֖בַח sacrifice וְאֵ֣ין — וְאֵ֣ין and–without מַצֵּבָ֑ה — מַצֵּבָ֑ה pillar וְאֵ֥ין — וְאֵ֥ין and–without אֵפ֖וֹד — אֵפ֖וֹד ephod וּתְרָפִֽים׃ — וּתְרָפִֽים׃ and–teraphim
For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
5 אַחַ֗ר — אַחַ֗ר Afterward יָשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ — יָשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ will–return בְּנֵ֣י — בְּנֵ֣י children–of יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל — יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel וּבִקְשׁוּ֙ — וּבִקְשׁוּ֙ and–seek אֶת־ — אֶת־ – יְהוָ֣ה — יְהוָ֣ה YHWH אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֔ם — אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֔ם their–God וְאֵ֖ת — וְאֵ֖ת and– דָּוִ֣ד — דָּוִ֣ד David מַלְכָּ֑ם — מַלְכָּ֑ם their–king וּפָחֲד֧וּ — וּפָחֲד֧וּ and–tremble אֶל־ — אֶל־ unto– יְהוָ֛ה — יְהוָ֛ה YHWH וְאֶל־ — וְאֶל־ and–unto– טוּב֖וֹ — טוּב֖וֹ His–goodness בְּאַחֲרִ֥ית — בְּאַחֲרִ֥ית in–latter–part–of הַיָּמִֽים׃ — הַיָּמִֽים׃ the–days פ — פ —
Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.
