2 נִכְסְפָ֬ה — נִכְסְפָ֬ה longs וְגַם־ — וְגַם־ and–also כָּלְתָ֨ה ׀ — כָּלְתָ֨ה ׀ faints נַפְשִׁי֮ — נַפְשִׁי֮ my–soul לְחַצְר֪וֹת — לְחַצְר֪וֹת for–the–courts–of יְה֫וָ֥ה — יְה֫וָ֥ה YHWH לִבִּ֥י — לִבִּ֥י my–heart וּבְשָׂרִ֑י — וּבְשָׂרִ֑י and–my–flesh יְ֝רַנְּנ֗וּ — יְ֝רַנְּנ֗וּ cry–out אֶ֣ל — אֶ֣ל to אֵֽל־ — אֵֽל־ El חָֽי׃ — חָֽי׃ living
My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
3 גַּם־ — גַּם־ even צִפּ֨וֹר ׀ — צִפּ֨וֹר ׀ a–sparrow מָ֪צְאָה — מָ֪צְאָה has–found בַ֡יִת — בַ֡יִת a–house וּדְר֤וֹר ׀ — וּדְר֤וֹר ׀ and–a–swallow קֵ֥ן — קֵ֥ן a–nest לָהּ֮ — לָהּ֮ for–herself אֲשֶׁר־ — אֲשֶׁר־ where שָׁ֪תָה — שָׁ֪תָה she–puts אֶפְרֹ֫חֶ֥יהָ — אֶפְרֹ֫חֶ֥יהָ her–young אֶֽת־ — אֶֽת־ [obj] מִ֭זְבְּחוֹתֶיךָ — מִ֭זְבְּחוֹתֶיךָ your–altars יְהוָ֣ה — יְהוָ֣ה YHWH צְבָא֑וֹת — צְבָא֑וֹת of–hosts מַ֝לְכִּ֗י — מַ֝לְכִּ֗י my–King וֵאלֹהָֽי׃ — וֵאלֹהָֽי׃ and–my–Elohim
Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.
4 אַ֭שְׁרֵי — אַ֭שְׁרֵי blessed–are יוֹשְׁבֵ֣י — יוֹשְׁבֵ֣י those–who–dwell–in בֵיתֶ֑ךָ — בֵיתֶ֑ךָ your–house ע֝֗וֹד — ע֝֗וֹד continually יְֽהַלְל֥וּךָ — יְֽהַלְל֥וּךָ they–praise–you סֶּֽלָה׃ — סֶּֽלָה׃ Selah
Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
5 אַשְׁרֵ֣י — אַשְׁרֵ֣י blessed–is אָ֭דָם — אָ֭דָם a–man עֽוֹז־ — עֽוֹז־ whose–strength ל֥וֹ — ל֥וֹ is בָ֑ךְ — בָ֑ךְ in–you מְ֝סִלּ֗וֹת — מְ֝סִלּ֗וֹת highways בִּלְבָבָֽם׃ — בִּלְבָבָֽם׃ in–their–heart
Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
6 עֹבְרֵ֤י ׀ — עֹבְרֵ֤י ׀ passing–through בְּעֵ֣מֶק — בְּעֵ֣מֶק the–valley–of הַ֭בָּכָא — הַ֭בָּכָא Baka מַעְיָ֣ן — מַעְיָ֣ן a–spring יְשִׁית֑וּהוּ — יְשִׁית֑וּהוּ they–make–it גַּם־ — גַּם־ also בְּ֝רָכ֗וֹת — בְּ֝רָכ֗וֹת blessings יַעְטֶ֥ה — יַעְטֶ֥ה covers מוֹרֶֽה׃ — מוֹרֶֽה׃ the–early–rain
Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
7 יֵ֭לְכוּ — יֵ֭לְכוּ they–go מֵחַ֣יִל — מֵחַ֣יִל from–strength אֶל־ — אֶל־ to חָ֑יִל — חָ֑יִל strength יֵרָאֶ֖ה — יֵרָאֶ֖ה he–will–appear אֶל־ — אֶל־ before אֱלֹהִ֣ים — אֱלֹהִ֣ים Elohim בְּצִיּֽוֹן׃ — בְּצִיּֽוֹן׃ in–Tsiyon
They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
8 יְה֘וָ֤ה — יְה֘וָ֤ה YHWH אֱלֹהִ֣ים — אֱלֹהִ֣ים Elohim צְ֭בָאוֹת — צְ֭בָאוֹת of–hosts שִׁמְעָ֣ה — שִׁמְעָ֣ה hear תְפִלָּתִ֑י — תְפִלָּתִ֑י my–prayer הַאֲזִ֨ינָה — הַאֲזִ֨ינָה give–ear אֱלֹהֵ֖י — אֱלֹהֵ֖י Elohim–of יַעֲקֹ֣ב — יַעֲקֹ֣ב Ya'aqov סֶֽלָה׃ — סֶֽלָה׃ Selah
O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9 מָ֭גִנֵּנוּ — מָ֭גִנֵּנוּ our–shield רְאֵ֣ה — רְאֵ֣ה see אֱלֹהִ֑ים — אֱלֹהִ֑ים Elohim וְ֝הַבֵּ֗ט — וְ֝הַבֵּ֗ט and–look–upon פְּנֵ֣י — פְּנֵ֣י the–face–of מְשִׁיחֶֽךָ׃ — מְשִׁיחֶֽךָ׃ your–anointed
Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
10 כִּ֤י — כִּ֤י for טֽוֹב־ — טֽוֹב־ better–is י֥וֹם — י֥וֹם a–day בַּחֲצֵרֶ֗יךָ — בַּחֲצֵרֶ֗יךָ in–your–courts מֵ֫אָ֥לֶף — מֵ֫אָ֥לֶף than–a–thousand בָּחַ֗רְתִּי — בָּחַ֗רְתִּי I–choose הִ֭סְתּוֹפֵף — הִ֭סְתּוֹפֵף to–stand–at–the–threshold בְּבֵ֣ית — בְּבֵ֣ית in–the–house–of אֱלֹהַ֑י — אֱלֹהַ֑י my–Elohim מִ֝דּ֗וּר — מִ֝דּ֗וּר rather–than–dwell בְּאָהֳלֵי־ — בְּאָהֳלֵי־ in–the–tents–of רֶֽשַׁע׃ — רֶֽשַׁע׃ wickedness
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 כִּ֤י — כִּ֤י for שֶׁ֨מֶשׁ ׀ — שֶׁ֨מֶשׁ ׀ a–sun וּמָגֵן֮ — וּמָגֵן֮ and–a–shield יְהוָ֪ה — יְהוָ֪ה YHWH אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים — אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים Elohim חֵ֣ן — חֵ֣ן favor וְ֭כָבוֹד — וְ֭כָבוֹד and–glory יִתֵּ֣ן — יִתֵּ֣ן gives יְהוָ֑ה — יְהוָ֑ה YHWH לֹ֥א — לֹ֥א not יִמְנַע־ — יִמְנַע־ he–withholds ט֝֗וֹב — ט֝֗וֹב good לַֽהֹלְכִ֥ים — לַֽהֹלְכִ֥ים from–those–who–walk בְּתָמִֽים׃ — בְּתָמִֽים׃ in–integrity
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12 יְהוָ֥ה — יְהוָ֥ה YHWH צְבָא֑וֹת — צְבָא֑וֹת of–hosts אַֽשְׁרֵ֥י — אַֽשְׁרֵ֥י blessed–is אָ֝דָ֗ם — אָ֝דָ֗ם a–man בֹּטֵ֥חַ — בֹּטֵ֥חַ who–trusts בָּֽךְ׃ — בָּֽךְ׃ in–you
O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
