Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
2 אֶ֭קְרָא — אֶ֭קְרָא I–will–call לֵֽאלֹהִ֣ים — לֵֽאלֹהִ֣ים to–Elohim עֶלְי֑וֹן — עֶלְי֑וֹן Most–High לָ֝אֵ֗ל — לָ֝אֵ֗ל to–El גֹּמֵ֥ר — גֹּמֵ֥ר who–accomplishes עָלָֽי׃ — עָלָֽי׃ for–me
I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
3 יִשְׁלַ֤ח — יִשְׁלַ֤ח He–will–send מִשָּׁמַ֨יִם ׀ — מִשָּׁמַ֨יִם ׀ from–heaven וְֽיוֹשִׁיעֵ֗נִי — וְֽיוֹשִׁיעֵ֗נִי and–save–me חֵרֵ֣ף — חֵרֵ֣ף He–reproaches שֹׁאֲפִ֣י — שֹׁאֲפִ֣י the–one–trampling–me סֶ֑לָה — סֶ֑לָה Selah יִשְׁלַ֥ח — יִשְׁלַ֥ח will–send אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים — אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים Elohim חַסְדּ֥וֹ — חַסְדּ֥וֹ His–steadfast–love וַאֲמִתּֽוֹ׃ — וַאֲמִתּֽוֹ׃ and–His–faithfulness
He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
4 נַפְשִׁ֤י ׀ — נַפְשִׁ֤י ׀ my–soul בְּת֥וֹךְ — בְּת֥וֹךְ in–the–midst–of לְבָאִם֮ — לְבָאִם֮ lions אֶשְׁכְּבָ֪ה — אֶשְׁכְּבָ֪ה I–lie–down לֹ֫הֲטִ֥ים — לֹ֫הֲטִ֥ים those–who–are–aflame בְּֽנֵי־ — בְּֽנֵי־ sons–of– אָדָ֗ם — אָדָ֗ם man שִׁ֭נֵּיהֶם — שִׁ֭נֵּיהֶם their–teeth חֲנִ֣ית — חֲנִ֣ית are–spears וְחִצִּ֑ים — וְחִצִּ֑ים and–arrows וּ֝לְשׁוֹנָ֗ם — וּ֝לְשׁוֹנָ֗ם and–their–tongue חֶ֣רֶב — חֶ֣רֶב a–sword חַדָּֽה׃ — חַדָּֽה׃ sharp
My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 ר֣וּמָה — ר֣וּמָה be–exalted עַל־ — עַל־ above– הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם — הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם the–heavens אֱלֹהִ֑ים — אֱלֹהִ֑ים Elohim עַ֖ל — עַ֖ל above כָּל־ — כָּל־ all– הָאָ֣רֶץ — הָאָ֣רֶץ the–earth כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ׃ — כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ׃ Your–glory
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
6 רֶ֤שֶׁת ׀ — רֶ֤שֶׁת ׀ a–net הֵכִ֣ינוּ — הֵכִ֣ינוּ they–prepared לִפְעָמַי֮ — לִפְעָמַי֮ for–my–steps כָּפַ֪ף — כָּפַ֪ף he–bowed–down נַ֫פְשִׁ֥י — נַ֫פְשִׁ֥י my–soul כָּר֣וּ — כָּר֣וּ they–dug לְפָנַ֣י — לְפָנַ֣י before–me שִׁיחָ֑ה — שִׁיחָ֑ה a–pit נָפְל֖וּ — נָפְל֖וּ they–fell בְתוֹכָ֣הּ — בְתוֹכָ֣הּ into–its–midst סֶֽלָה׃ — סֶֽלָה׃ Selah
They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
7 נָ֘כ֤וֹן — נָ֘כ֤וֹן steadfast לִבִּ֣י — לִבִּ֣י my–heart אֱ֭לֹהִים — אֱ֭לֹהִים Elohim נָכ֣וֹן — נָכ֣וֹן steadfast לִבִּ֑י — לִבִּ֑י my–heart אָ֝שִׁ֗ירָה — אָ֝שִׁ֗ירָה I–will–sing וַאֲזַמֵּֽרָה׃ — וַאֲזַמֵּֽרָה׃ and–make–music
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 ע֤וּרָה — ע֤וּרָה awake כְבוֹדִ֗י — כְבוֹדִ֗י my–glory ע֭וּרָֽה — ע֭וּרָֽה awake הַנֵּ֥בֶל — הַנֵּ֥בֶל O–harp וְכִנּ֗וֹר — וְכִנּ֗וֹר and–lyre אָעִ֥ירָה — אָעִ֥ירָה I–will–awaken שָּֽׁחַר׃ — שָּֽׁחַר׃ the–dawn
Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
9 אוֹדְךָ֖ — אוֹדְךָ֖ I–will–praise–You בָעַמִּ֥ים ׀ — בָעַמִּ֥ים ׀ among–the–peoples אֲדֹנָ֑י — אֲדֹנָ֑י Adonai אֲ֝זַמֶּרְךָ֗ — אֲ֝זַמֶּרְךָ֗ I–will–sing–to–You בַּל־ — בַּל־ among–the– אֻמִּֽים׃ — אֻמִּֽים׃ nations
I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.
10 כִּֽי־ — כִּֽי־ for– גָדֹ֣ל — גָדֹ֣ל great עַד־ — עַד־ unto– שָׁמַ֣יִם — שָׁמַ֣יִם the–heavens חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ — חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ Your–steadfast–love וְֽעַד־ — וְֽעַד־ and–unto– שְׁחָקִ֥ים — שְׁחָקִ֥ים the–clouds אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃ — אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃ Your–faithfulness
For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
