So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2 וְאֵ֥לֶּה — וְאֵ֥לֶּה and–these הַשָּׂרִ֖ים — הַשָּׂרִ֖ים are–the–officials אֲשֶׁר־ — אֲשֶׁר־ who ל֑וֹ — ל֑וֹ were–to–him עֲזַרְיָ֥הוּ — עֲזַרְיָ֥הוּ Azariah בֶן־ — בֶן־ son–of צָד֖וֹק — צָד֖וֹק Zadok הַכֹּהֵֽן׃ — הַכֹּהֵֽן׃ the–priest ס — ס ס
And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
3 אֱלִיחֹ֧רֶף — אֱלִיחֹ֧רֶף Elihoreph וַאֲחִיָּ֛ה — וַאֲחִיָּ֛ה and–Ahijah בְּנֵ֥י — בְּנֵ֥י sons–of שִׁישָׁ֖א — שִׁישָׁ֖א Shisha סֹפְרִ֑ים — סֹפְרִ֑ים scribes יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט — יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט Jehoshaphat בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ son–of אֲחִיל֖וּד — אֲחִיל֖וּד Ahilud הַמַּזְכִּֽיר׃ — הַמַּזְכִּֽיר׃ the–recorder
Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
4 וּבְנָיָ֥הוּ — וּבְנָיָ֥הוּ and–Benaiah בֶן־ — בֶן־ son–of יְהוֹיָדָ֖ע — יְהוֹיָדָ֖ע Jehoiada עַל־ — עַל־ over הַצָּבָ֑א — הַצָּבָ֑א the–army וְצָד֥וֹק — וְצָד֥וֹק and–Zadok וְאֶבְיָתָ֖ר — וְאֶבְיָתָ֖ר and–Abiathar כֹּהֲנִֽים׃ — כֹּהֲנִֽים׃ were–priests ס — ס ס
And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
5 וַעֲזַרְיָ֥הוּ — וַעֲזַרְיָ֥הוּ and–Azariah בֶן־ — בֶן־ son–of נָתָ֖ן — נָתָ֖ן Nathan עַל־ — עַל־ over הַנִּצָּבִ֑ים — הַנִּצָּבִ֑ים the–governors וְזָב֧וּד — וְזָב֧וּד and–Zabud בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ son–of נָתָ֛ן — נָתָ֛ן Nathan כֹּהֵ֖ן — כֹּהֵ֖ן priest רֵעֶ֥ה — רֵעֶ֥ה friend–of הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ — הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ the–king
And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
6 וַאֲחִישָׁ֖ר — וַאֲחִישָׁ֖ר and–Ahishar עַל־ — עַל־ over הַבָּ֑יִת — הַבָּ֑יִת the–household וַאֲדֹנִירָ֥ם — וַאֲדֹנִירָ֥ם and–Adoniram בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ son–of עַבְדָּ֖א — עַבְדָּ֖א Abda עַל־ — עַל־ over הַמַּֽס׃ — הַמַּֽס׃ the–forced–labor ס — ס ס
And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
7 וְלִשְׁלֹמֹ֞ה — וְלִשְׁלֹמֹ֞ה and–to–Solomon שְׁנֵים־ — שְׁנֵים־ twelve עָשָׂ֤ר — עָשָׂ֤ר ten נִצָּבִים֙ — נִצָּבִים֙ governors עַל־ — עַל־ over כָּל־ — כָּל־ all יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל — יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel וְכִלְכְּל֥וּ — וְכִלְכְּל֥וּ and–they–provided אֶת־ — אֶת־ [obj] הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ — הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ the–king וְאֶת־ — וְאֶת־ and–[obj] בֵּית֑וֹ — בֵּית֑וֹ his–household חֹ֧דֶשׁ — חֹ֧דֶשׁ a–month בַּשָּׁנָ֛ה — בַּשָּׁנָ֛ה in–the–year יִהְיֶ֥ה — יִהְיֶ֥ה it–would–be עַל־ — עַל־ upon [אחד] — [אחד] [one] (הָאֶחָ֖ד) — (הָאֶחָ֖ד) the–one לְכַלְכֵּֽל׃ — לְכַלְכֵּֽל׃ to–provide ס — ס ס
And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
8 וְאֵ֣לֶּה — וְאֵ֣לֶּה and–these שְׁמוֹתָ֔ם — שְׁמוֹתָ֔ם are–their–names בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ Ben–Hur ח֖וּר — ח֖וּר in–Hur בְּהַ֥ר — בְּהַ֥ר in–the–hill–country–of אֶפְרָֽיִם׃ — אֶפְרָֽיִם׃ Ephraim ס — ס ס
And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
9 בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ Ben–Deker דֶּ֛קֶר — דֶּ֛קֶר in–Deker בְּמָקַ֥ץ — בְּמָקַ֥ץ in–Makaz וּבְשַֽׁעַלְבִ֖ים — וּבְשַֽׁעַלְבִ֖ים and–in–Shaalbim וּבֵ֣ית שָׁ֑מֶשׁ — וּבֵ֣ית שָׁ֑מֶשׁ and–Beth–Shemesh וְאֵיל֖וֹן — וְאֵיל֖וֹן and–Elon בֵּ֥ית חָנָֽן׃ — בֵּ֥ית חָנָֽן׃ Beth–Hanan ס — ס ס
The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth–shemesh, and Elon–beth–hanan:
10 בֶּן־חֶ֖סֶד — בֶּן־חֶ֖סֶד Ben–Hesed בָּֽאֲרֻבּ֑וֹת — בָּֽאֲרֻבּ֑וֹת in–Arubboth ל֥וֹ — ל֥וֹ to–him שֹׂכֹ֖ה — שֹׂכֹ֖ה Socoh וְכָל־ — וְכָל־ and–all אֶ֥רֶץ — אֶ֥רֶץ the–land–of חֵֽפֶר׃ — חֵֽפֶר׃ Hepher ס — ס ס
The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
11 בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ Ben אֲבִֽינָדָ֖ב — אֲבִֽינָדָ֖ב Abinadab כָּל־ — כָּל־ all נָ֣פַת — נָ֣פַת the–height–of דֹּ֑אר — דֹּ֑אר Dor טָפַת֙ — טָפַת֙ Taphath בַּת־ — בַּת־ the–daughter–of שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה — שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה Solomon הָ֥יְתָה — הָ֥יְתָה was לּ֖וֹ — לּ֖וֹ to–him לְאִשָּֽׁה׃ — לְאִשָּֽׁה׃ as–a–wife ס — ס ס
The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
12 בַּֽעֲנָא֙ — בַּֽעֲנָא֙ Baana בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ son–of אֲחִיל֔וּד — אֲחִיל֔וּד Ahilud תַּעְנַ֖ךְ — תַּעְנַ֖ךְ Taanach וּמְגִדּ֑וֹ — וּמְגִדּ֑וֹ and–Megiddo וְכָל־ — וְכָל־ and–all בֵּ֣ית שְׁאָ֡ן — בֵּ֣ית שְׁאָ֡ן Beth–Shean אֲשֶׁר֩ — אֲשֶׁר֩ which אֵ֨צֶל — אֵ֨צֶל is–beside צָרְתַ֜נָה — צָרְתַ֜נָה Zarethan מִתַּ֣חַת — מִתַּ֣חַת below לְיִזְרְעֶ֗אל — לְיִזְרְעֶ֗אל Jezreel מִבֵּ֤ית שְׁאָן֙ — מִבֵּ֤ית שְׁאָן֙ from–Beth–Shean עַ֚ד — עַ֚ד unto אָבֵ֣ל מְחוֹלָ֔ה — אָבֵ֣ל מְחוֹלָ֔ה Abel–Meholah עַ֖ד — עַ֖ד unto מֵעֵ֥בֶר — מֵעֵ֥בֶר beyond לְיָקְמֳעָֽם׃ — לְיָקְמֳעָֽם׃ Jokmeam ס — ס ס
Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth–shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth–shean to Abel–meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
13 בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ Ben גֶּ֖בֶר — גֶּ֖בֶר Geber בְּרָמֹ֣ת — בְּרָמֹ֣ת in–Ramoth גִּלְעָ֑ד — גִּלְעָ֑ד Gilead ל֡וֹ — ל֡וֹ to–him חַוֺּת֩ — חַוֺּת֩ the–villages–of יָאִ֨יר — יָאִ֨יר Jair בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ son–of מְנַשֶּׁ֜ה — מְנַשֶּׁ֜ה Manasseh אֲשֶׁ֣ר — אֲשֶׁ֣ר which בַּגִּלְעָ֗ד — בַּגִּלְעָ֗ד are–in–Gilead ל֚וֹ — ל֚וֹ to–him חֶ֤בֶל — חֶ֤בֶל the–region–of אַרְגֹּב֙ — אַרְגֹּב֙ Argob אֲשֶׁ֣ר — אֲשֶׁ֣ר which בַּבָּשָׁ֔ן — בַּבָּשָׁ֔ן is–in–Bashan שִׁשִּׁים֙ — שִׁשִּׁים֙ sixty עָרִ֣ים — עָרִ֣ים cities גְּדֹל֔וֹת — גְּדֹל֔וֹת great חוֹמָ֖ה — חוֹמָ֖ה wall וּבְרִ֥יחַ — וּבְרִ֥יחַ and–bar–of נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ — נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ bronze ס — ס ס
The son of Geber, in Ramoth–gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:
14 אֲחִֽינָדָ֥ב — אֲחִֽינָדָ֥ב Ahinadab בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ son–of עִדֹּ֖א — עִדֹּ֖א Iddo מַחֲנָֽיְמָה׃ — מַחֲנָֽיְמָה׃ in–Mahanaim
Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
15 אֲחִימַ֖עַץ — אֲחִימַ֖עַץ Ahimaaz בְּנַפְתָּלִ֑י — בְּנַפְתָּלִ֑י in–Naphtali גַּם־ — גַּם־ also ה֗וּא — ה֗וּא he לָקַ֛ח — לָקַ֛ח took אֶת־ — אֶת־ [obj] בָּשְׂמַ֥ת — בָּשְׂמַ֥ת Basemath בַּת־ — בַּת־ the–daughter–of שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה — שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה Solomon לְאִשָּֽׁה׃ — לְאִשָּֽׁה׃ as–a–wife
Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
16 בַּֽעֲנָא֙ — בַּֽעֲנָא֙ Baana בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ son–of חוּשָׁ֔י — חוּשָׁ֔י Hushai בְּאָשֵׁ֖ר — בְּאָשֵׁ֖ר in–Asher וּבְעָלֽוֹת׃ — וּבְעָלֽוֹת׃ and–in–Bealoth ס — ס ס
Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
17 יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט — יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט Jehoshaphat בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ son–of פָּר֖וּחַ — פָּר֖וּחַ Paruah בְּיִשָׂשכָֽר׃ — בְּיִשָׂשכָֽר׃ in–Issachar ס — ס ס
Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
18 שִׁמְעִ֥י — שִׁמְעִ֥י Shimei בֶן־ — בֶן־ son–of אֵלָ֖א — אֵלָ֖א Ela בְּבִנְיָמִֽן׃ — בְּבִנְיָמִֽן׃ in–Benjamin ס — ס ס
Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
19 גֶּ֥בֶר — גֶּ֥בֶר Geber בֶּן־ — בֶּן־ son–of אֻרִ֖י — אֻרִ֖י Uri בְּאֶ֣רֶץ — בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in–the–land–of גִּלְעָ֑ד — גִּלְעָ֑ד Gilead אֶ֜רֶץ — אֶ֜רֶץ the–land–of סִיח֣וֹן ׀ — סִיח֣וֹן ׀ Sihon מֶ֣לֶךְ — מֶ֣לֶךְ king–of הָאֱמֹרִ֗י — הָאֱמֹרִ֗י the–Amorites וְעֹג֙ — וְעֹג֙ and–Og מֶ֣לֶךְ — מֶ֣לֶךְ king–of הַבָּשָׁ֔ן — הַבָּשָׁ֔ן Bashan וּנְצִ֥יב — וּנְצִ֥יב and–one–governor אֶחָ֖ד — אֶחָ֖ד one אֲשֶׁ֥ר — אֲשֶׁ֥ר who בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ — בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ was–in–the–land
Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
20 יְהוּדָ֤ה — יְהוּדָ֤ה Judah וְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ — וְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ and–Israel רַבִּ֔ים — רַבִּ֔ים were–many כַּח֥וֹל — כַּח֥וֹל as–the–sand אֲשֶׁר־ — אֲשֶׁר־ which עַל־ — עַל־ is–on הַיָּ֖ם — הַיָּ֖ם the–sea לָרֹ֑ב — לָרֹ֑ב for–multitude אֹכְלִ֥ים — אֹכְלִ֥ים eating וְשֹׁתִ֖ים — וְשֹׁתִ֖ים and–drinking וּשְׂמֵחִֽים׃ — וּשְׂמֵחִֽים׃ and–rejoicing
Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21 וּשְׁלֹמֹ֗ה — וּשְׁלֹמֹ֗ה and–Solomon הָיָ֤ה — הָיָ֤ה was מוֹשֵׁל֙ — מוֹשֵׁל֙ ruling בְּכָל־ — בְּכָל־ over–all הַמַּמְלָכ֔וֹת — הַמַּמְלָכ֔וֹת the–kingdoms מִן־ — מִן־ from הַנָּהָר֙ — הַנָּהָר֙ the–River אֶ֣רֶץ — אֶ֣רֶץ the–land–of פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים — פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים the–Philistines וְעַ֖ד — וְעַ֖ד and–unto גְּב֣וּל — גְּב֣וּל the–border–of מִצְרָ֑יִם — מִצְרָ֑יִם Egypt מַגִּשִׁ֥ים — מַגִּשִׁ֥ים bringing מִנְחָ֛ה — מִנְחָ֛ה tribute וְעֹבְדִ֥ים — וְעֹבְדִ֥ים and–serving אֶת־ — אֶת־ [obj] שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה — שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה Solomon כָּל־ — כָּל־ all יְמֵ֥י — יְמֵ֥י the–days–of חַיָּֽיו׃ — חַיָּֽיו׃ his–life פ — פ פ
And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 וַיְהִ֥י — וַיְהִ֥י and–it–was לֶֽחֶם־ — לֶֽחֶם־ the–provision–of שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה — שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה Solomon לְי֣וֹם — לְי֣וֹם for–a–day אֶחָ֑ד — אֶחָ֑ד one שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים — שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים thirty כֹּר֙ — כֹּר֙ cors סֹ֔לֶת — סֹ֔לֶת fine–flour וְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים — וְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים and–sixty כֹּ֖ר — כֹּ֖ר cors קָֽמַח׃ — קָֽמַח׃ meal
And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23 עֲשָׂרָ֨ה — עֲשָׂרָ֨ה ten בָקָ֜ר — בָקָ֜ר oxen בְּרִאִ֗ים — בְּרִאִ֗ים fattened וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים — וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים and–twenty בָּקָ֛ר — בָּקָ֛ר oxen רְעִ֖י — רְעִ֖י of–pasture וּמֵ֣אָה — וּמֵ֣אָה and–a–hundred צֹ֑אן — צֹ֑אן sheep לְ֠בַד — לְ֠בַד apart–from מֵֽאַיָּ֤ל — מֵֽאַיָּ֤ל deer וּצְבִי֙ — וּצְבִי֙ and–gazelles וְיַחְמ֔וּר — וְיַחְמ֔וּר and–roebucks וּבַרְבֻּרִ֖ים — וּבַרְבֻּרִ֖ים and–fattened–fowl אֲבוּסִֽים׃ — אֲבוּסִֽים׃ caged
Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
24 כִּי־ — כִּי־ for ה֞וּא — ה֞וּא he רֹדֶ֣ה ׀ — רֹדֶ֣ה ׀ was–ruling בְּכָל־ — בְּכָל־ over–all עֵ֣בֶר — עֵ֣בֶר beyond הַנָּהָ֗ר — הַנָּהָ֗ר the–River מִתִּפְסַח֙ — מִתִּפְסַח֙ from–Tiphsah וְעַד־ — וְעַד־ and–unto עַזָּ֔ה — עַזָּ֔ה Gaza בְּכָל־ — בְּכָל־ over–all מַלְכֵ֖י — מַלְכֵ֖י the–kings–of עֵ֣בֶר — עֵ֣בֶר beyond הַנָּהָ֑ר — הַנָּהָ֑ר the–River וְשָׁל֗וֹם — וְשָׁל֗וֹם and–peace הָ֥יָה — הָ֥יָה was ל֛וֹ — ל֛וֹ to–him מִכָּל־ — מִכָּל־ from–all עֲבָרָ֖יו — עֲבָרָ֖יו his–sides מִסָּבִֽיב׃ — מִסָּבִֽיב׃ all–around
For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25 וַיֵּשֶׁב֩ — וַיֵּשֶׁב֩ and–they–dwelt יְהוּדָ֨ה — יְהוּדָ֨ה Judah וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל — וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל and–Israel לָבֶ֗טַח — לָבֶ֗טַח securely אִ֣ישׁ — אִ֣ישׁ each–man תַּ֤חַת — תַּ֤חַת under גַּפְנוֹ֙ — גַּפְנוֹ֙ his–vine וְתַ֣חַת — וְתַ֣חַת and–under תְּאֵֽנָת֔וֹ — תְּאֵֽנָת֔וֹ his–fig–tree מִדָּ֖ן — מִדָּ֖ן from–Dan וְעַד־ — וְעַד־ and–unto בְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע — בְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע Beersheba כֹּ֖ל — כֹּ֖ל all יְמֵ֥י — יְמֵ֥י the–days–of שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ — שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ Solomon ס — ס ס
And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26 וַיְהִ֣י — וַיְהִ֣י and–it–was לִשְׁלֹמֹ֗ה — לִשְׁלֹמֹ֗ה to–Solomon אַרְבָּעִ֥ים — אַרְבָּעִ֥ים forty אֶ֛לֶף — אֶ֛לֶף thousand אֻרְוֺ֥ת — אֻרְוֺ֥ת stalls–of סוּסִ֖ים — סוּסִ֖ים horses לְמֶרְכָּב֑וֹ — לְמֶרְכָּב֑וֹ for–his–chariots וּשְׁנֵים־ — וּשְׁנֵים־ and–twelve עָשָׂ֥ר — עָשָׂ֥ר ten אֶ֖לֶף — אֶ֖לֶף thousand פָּרָשִֽׁים׃ — פָּרָשִֽׁים׃ horsemen
And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 וְכִלְכְּלוּ֩ — וְכִלְכְּלוּ֩ and–they–provided הַנִּצָּבִ֨ים — הַנִּצָּבִ֨ים the–governors הָאֵ֜לֶּה — הָאֵ֜לֶּה these אֶת־ — אֶת־ [obj] הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ — הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ the–king שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה — שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה Solomon וְאֵ֧ת — וְאֵ֧ת and–[obj] כָּל־ — כָּל־ all הַקָּרֵ֛ב — הַקָּרֵ֛ב the–one–drawing–near אֶל־ — אֶל־ to שֻׁלְחַ֥ן — שֻׁלְחַ֥ן the–table–of הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־ — הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־ the–king שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה — שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה Solomon אִ֣ישׁ — אִ֣ישׁ each–man חָדְשׁ֑וֹ — חָדְשׁ֑וֹ his–month לֹ֥א — לֹ֥א not יְעַדְּר֖וּ — יְעַדְּר֖וּ they–lacked דָּבָֽר׃ — דָּבָֽר׃ anything
And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28 וְהַשְּׂעֹרִ֣ים — וְהַשְּׂעֹרִ֣ים and–the–barley וְהַתֶּ֔בֶן — וְהַתֶּ֔בֶן and–the–straw לַסּוּסִ֖ים — לַסּוּסִ֖ים for–the–horses וְלָרָ֑כֶשׁ — וְלָרָ֑כֶשׁ and–for–the–swift–steeds יָבִ֗אוּ — יָבִ֗אוּ they–brought אֶל־ — אֶל־ to הַמָּקוֹם֙ — הַמָּקוֹם֙ the–place אֲשֶׁ֣ר — אֲשֶׁ֣ר where יִֽהְיֶה־ — יִֽהְיֶה־ it–would–be שָּׁ֔ם — שָּׁ֔ם there אִ֖ישׁ — אִ֖ישׁ each–man כְּמִשְׁפָּטֽוֹ׃ — כְּמִשְׁפָּטֽוֹ׃ according–to–his–duty ס — ס ס
Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29 וַיִּתֵּן֩ — וַיִּתֵּן֩ and–he–gave אֱלֹהִ֨ים — אֱלֹהִ֨ים Elohim חָכְמָ֧ה — חָכְמָ֧ה wisdom לִשְׁלֹמֹ֛ה — לִשְׁלֹמֹ֛ה to–Solomon וּתְבוּנָ֖ה — וּתְבוּנָ֖ה and–understanding הַרְבֵּ֣ה — הַרְבֵּ֣ה exceeding מְאֹ֑ד — מְאֹ֑ד much וְרֹ֣חַב — וְרֹ֣חַב and–breadth–of לֵ֔ב — לֵ֔ב heart כַּח֕וֹל — כַּח֕וֹל as–the–sand אֲשֶׁ֖ר — אֲשֶׁ֖ר which עַל־ — עַל־ is–on שְׂפַ֥ת — שְׂפַ֥ת the–shore–of הַיָּֽם׃ — הַיָּֽם׃ the–sea
And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 וַתֵּ֙רֶב֙ — וַתֵּ֙רֶב֙ and–it–was–greater חָכְמַ֣ת — חָכְמַ֣ת the–wisdom–of שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה — שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה Solomon מֵֽחָכְמַ֖ת — מֵֽחָכְמַ֖ת than–the–wisdom–of כָּל־ — כָּל־ all בְּנֵי־ — בְּנֵי־ the–sons–of קֶ֑דֶם — קֶ֑דֶם the–east וּמִכֹּ֖ל — וּמִכֹּ֖ל and–than–all חָכְמַ֥ת — חָכְמַ֥ת the–wisdom–of מִצְרָֽיִם׃ — מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Egypt
And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 וַיֶּחְכַּם֮ — וַיֶּחְכַּם֮ and–he–was–wiser מִכָּל־ — מִכָּל־ than–all הָֽאָדָם֒ — הָֽאָדָם֒ the–man מֵאֵיתָ֣ן — מֵאֵיתָ֣ן than–Ethan הָאֶזְרָחִ֗י — הָאֶזְרָחִ֗י the–Ezrahite וְהֵימָ֧ן — וְהֵימָ֧ן and–Heman וְכַלְכֹּ֛ל — וְכַלְכֹּ֛ל and–Calcol וְדַרְדַּ֖ע — וְדַרְדַּ֖ע and–Darda בְּנֵ֣י — בְּנֵ֣י sons–of מָח֑וֹל — מָח֑וֹל Mahol וַיְהִֽי־ — וַיְהִֽי־ and–it–was שְׁמ֥וֹ — שְׁמ֥וֹ his–fame בְכָֽל־ — בְכָֽל־ among–all הַגּוֹיִ֖ם — הַגּוֹיִ֖ם the–nations סָבִֽיב׃ — סָבִֽיב׃ all–around
For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32 וַיְדַבֵּ֕ר — וַיְדַבֵּ֕ר and–he–spoke שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת — שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת three אֲלָפִ֖ים — אֲלָפִ֖ים thousand מָשָׁ֑ל — מָשָׁ֑ל proverbs וַיְהִ֥י — וַיְהִ֥י and–it–was שִׁיר֖וֹ — שִׁיר֖וֹ his–songs חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה — חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה five וָאָֽלֶף׃ — וָאָֽלֶף׃ and–a–thousand
And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 וַיְדַבֵּר֮ — וַיְדַבֵּר֮ and–he–spoke עַל־ — עַל־ about הָֽעֵצִים֒ — הָֽעֵצִים֒ the–trees מִן־ — מִן־ from הָאֶ֙רֶז֙ — הָאֶ֙רֶז֙ the–cedar אֲשֶׁ֣ר — אֲשֶׁ֣ר which בַּלְּבָנ֔וֹן — בַּלְּבָנ֔וֹן is–in–Lebanon וְעַד֙ — וְעַד֙ and–unto הָאֵז֔וֹב — הָאֵז֔וֹב the–hyssop אֲשֶׁ֥ר — אֲשֶׁ֥ר which יֹצֵ֖א — יֹצֵ֖א comes–out בַּקִּ֑יר — בַּקִּ֑יר of–the–wall וַיְדַבֵּר֙ — וַיְדַבֵּר֙ and–he–spoke עַל־ — עַל־ about הַבְּהֵמָ֣ה — הַבְּהֵמָ֣ה the–beasts וְעַל־ — וְעַל־ and–about הָע֔וֹף — הָע֔וֹף the–birds וְעַל־ — וְעַל־ and–about הָרֶ֖מֶשׂ — הָרֶ֖מֶשׂ the–creeping–things וְעַל־ — וְעַל־ and–about הַדָּגִֽים׃ — הַדָּגִֽים׃ the–fish
And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ — וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ and–they–came מִכָּל־ — מִכָּל־ from–all הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים — הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים the–peoples לִשְׁמֹ֕עַ — לִשְׁמֹ֕עַ to–hear אֵ֖ת — אֵ֖ת [obj] חָכְמַ֣ת — חָכְמַ֣ת the–wisdom–of שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה — שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה Solomon מֵאֵת֙ — מֵאֵת֙ from כָּל־ — כָּל־ all מַלְכֵ֣י — מַלְכֵ֣י the–kings–of הָאָ֔רֶץ — הָאָ֔רֶץ the–earth אֲשֶׁ֥ר — אֲשֶׁ֥ר who שָׁמְע֖וּ — שָׁמְע֖וּ heard אֶת־ — אֶת־ [obj] חָכְמָתֽוֹ׃ — חָכְמָתֽוֹ׃ his–wisdom ס — ס ס
And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
